According to information previously released by Tesla official, the Tesla Cybertruck is set to embark on a nationwide tour in China. However, the city for its debut is yet to be finalized, and the official statement indicates that the decision will be based on consumer sign-up results. The registration period is from January 17 to March 31, and those who register for the tour will have the opportunity to test drive the Cybertruck. Unfortunately, due to existing Chinese laws and regulations, the Cybertruck does not meet the legal requirements for on-road use in the country. Therefore, after the conclusion of this tour, the Cybertruck will not be available for sale in China.
In early December of last year, Tesla officially began delivering the first batch of Cybertrucks to owners in the United States. At the same time, the company also announced the prices for the three models: the Rear-Wheel Drive version at 60,990 (approximately CNY 435,000), the All-Wheel Drive version at 79,990 (approximately CNY 570,000), and the Beast Mode version at $99,990 (approximately CNY 714,000). The All-Wheel Drive and Beast Mode versions are scheduled to be released in 2024, while the Rear-Wheel Drive version is slated for release in 2025.
After Tesla’s U.S. official website updated information about the Cybertruck’s release and new features, Tesla’s China official website simultaneously launched the configuration pages for the Cybertruck Beast Mode, All-Wheel Drive version, and Rear-Wheel Drive version. However, it did not provide a reservation channel or pricing information.
The official website information indicates that both the Cybertruck Beast Mode and the All-Wheel Drive version feature a 5-seat layout, equipped with 20-inch wheels, an 18.5-inch central touchscreen, and a 9.4-inch touchscreen for the rear seats. The Beast Mode version has an estimated range of about 515 kilometers, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds, and reaches a top speed of 209 km/h. The All-Wheel Drive version boasts a range of approximately 547 kilometers, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds, and reaches a top speed of 180 km/h. Both the Beast Mode and All-Wheel Drive versions offer an optional battery expansion pack, which, when installed, increases the range to 755 kilometers.
