BYD Unveils Song PLUS DM-i Plug-in Hybrid Model in Mexico

BYD held the launch event for the Song PLUS DM-i during the exhibition at the FIA Formula E World Championship, 10th season, Mexico City station. The event marked the announcement of the introduction of plug-in hybrid models to the Mexican market for the first time.

The BYD Song PLUS DM-i Mexican version shares a similar appearance with the domestic version (Champion Edition), with body dimensions of 477518901670mm, a wheelbase of 2765mm, and a maximum speed of 170km/h.

The BYD Song PLUS DM-i is equipped with the BYD Super Hybrid System, featuring a 1.5L Xiaoyun engine with a maximum power of 81 kW. It is also equipped with a front motor with a maximum power of 145 kW, together forming the DM-i hybrid system. The vehicle is integrated with 18.3kWh and 26.6kWh lithium iron phosphate blade batteries. According to NEDC conditions, the range is 110km and 150km, with a comprehensive range of 1105 kilometers and a fuel consumption of 5.1L per 100 kilometers. The introduction of this plug-in hybrid model will provide more choices for the Mexican market.

The Song PLUS DM-i, unveiled by BYD in Mexico, showcases the brand’s technological prowess and innovation in the electric vehicle field. The introduction of this model will bring more environmentally friendly and efficient travel options to Mexican consumers, while also promoting the development of plug-in hybrid technology in the Mexican market.
